I hate obligation. My life is one freakin obligation after another. Almost every minute of every day is mandatory.
Here's a typical Tuesday
7:00am - Wake up
7:30am - Read (for school)
9:00am - Go to class
12:45pm - go home, change clothes, each lunch
1:30pm - go to work
5:00pm - go home, wash dishes, cook dinner, read more
8:00pm - eat dinner when my wife gets home
10:30pm - go to bed
So I realize that in the grand scheme of things I've got it pretty good. I don't have to hunt down my food with a spear. I don't have to spend much time worrying about whether a neighboring lord will get bored and use his army to invade my land and rape and pillage. I don't even really have to worry about being blown up by some radical religous nut.
Still though, I feel like my life is one big grind. After I take the bar exam in July, I'm hoping to do what I want to do.
In case my whining isn't what you were hoping to read, check this out: Wizard Review
By the way, I'm thinking about substitute teaching in the fall while I wait for my bar results. Any comments or suggestions?
